Red Toppers

Red tile roofs are a rare thing in Kansas. I've always admired this one on the Kansas Masonic Home. Taken just after dawn, with the WB set to cloudy, the light is very warm.

It is a beautiful building. It was designed by Edward Tilton in the Mission architectural style and completed in 1921. (What would I do without Google.) Thanks for your interest.

This buiding reminds me of the Hyatt in Canberra and I'll bet it was the same architect because I remember reading something about the buildings history referring to Darryl Jackson ,built in 1924, Art Deco Style, interior design by Hersch and Bedner.
