Thank you Mr. Biscuit for your comments. About the reds unclipped well let me tell you I'm learning and I did read the answer about that on the dpreview forum. I didn't had an idea of what I was doing about the technical aspects. Just when I uploaded it looked different than on my monitor, so I had to reconvert to sRGB and do some hue saturation until it looked good for me on my uncalibrated monitor.

clrs_challenge Thank you :). Tell me about trying to get it. She was "cleaning" herself with the beak. and as for hard, well the other one was a LOT harder, I had to run and chase the bitrd and kept shooting LOL.

ctfchallenge Thank you about that! Portraits is what I love most.

This is such a strange (strange as in different) but, interesting composition of a very photogenic bird. Holding the feather detail is not always easy with these birds as they tend to move unexpectedly (especially when MY camera is focused on them).

Thanks Belen, yes it is a great lens; I do all my birding with this lens too. Cheers. Vikas.

Agree with Vikas. Great detail, on both this and your next shot. Also, you managed to keep the red unclipped and in gamut. Nicely done.

Than you Vikas, comming from you it's a HUGE compliment to me :)

WOW incredible details. Shot with the 400 5.6 or 100/400? Thanks. Vikas.
