A fine photo. Save the planet. Plant a tree.

Beautifully captured! Cropping about a third off the bottom makes it a striking panoramic, which I like, too. Shu

haha - Olaf - you gave me a great idea. I will transplant a coast redwood to the deserts of Nevada!!!, maybe some nice ferns. That would make some kind of artistic statement - or maybe political - like if it was not for global warming, off-road-vehicles and cows, Nevada would be a lush rainforest!!! ;)

OK, I'll try transplanting that juniper tonight. Thanks, Cindy

Cheating? Nah! Some people view photography as documentary and they may not agree with me, but I think creating the best, most story telling image is more important. Moving a Juniper tree a few feet should not be a problem. If instead you'd been talking about putting some other tree, that normally would not grow there - maybe that would be taking the artistic freedom too far (assuming it was not really obvious that it was a manipulated photo). --Olaf.dk

Well, I have another shot at the same focal length with a juniper tree at the base. I think it is just to the left of the frame. I could transplant the tree . . . .is that cheating??? lol. Cindy

Beautiful color and very graphical, almost like the applications of late Matisse. I agree that a tree or a human figure on the foreground could have added a perspective

Compositionally , I think that this image is just perfect. The geometry is interesting. And I love the colors. Great Capture!

Beautiful! Graphic - almost completely abstract shot. Some little element of known size would be great to give a sense of scale.
