Actually, I have a dynamite horizontal version of this image shot with the D60, but its date did not fall within the challenge time requirements...and since I'm still test the XT, I thought what the heck, I'll give it another blast and compare with the D60 image I like so much.
But...this was a slap your forehead moment...even though the images are free with digital, I still tend to revert to my expensive Medium Format mind set...and shoot a minimum of images because they were, at least with MF, costly. When I came home to work this picture...there were only three of them...lol, and all vertical.
And this is how Los Angeles became a Vertical City...(Smile and Laugh)

On second thought: is there such a thing as downtown LA? I guess I meant the financial center...

I know downtown LA has its high-rises, but to me LA is the archetype of the horizontal city. A bunch of sigle family houses spread out over a huge area. That translates into long distances and an unparallelled web of free-ways. New York, NY would be the vertical city, in my definition. Sorry for rambling - nice shot by the way!
