Yes. Acheived it well. Just a tad more detail in the shadow areas wouldn't have gone amiss though.

Thanks for sharing how you achieved this result. The technique works very well with this shot. I like the strong contrast that makes the peaks stand out against the dark sky. -Gerald

Hi Grant - it's actually a channel mix tip I picked up from one of Scott Kelby's books. Basically, go to channel mix, select monochrome. Choose positive values for Red and Green (over 100%), and then a *negative* value for Blue (enough to bring the total to 100%). Yields a nice dark sky with whitish foliage. -Ed Hahn

But..... sunsets should have color! Very stark. You've captured the dryness so well that I need to drink a glass of water after looking at it.
