Polished, clean, and professional. Well conceived and executed. Very nice. Taking up a second (third?) career as a produce inspector? --Joe

I asked my husband what this thing is called...he says it's a "Hobby Holder".

Funny shot Gayle. I see the little roach clip thingy offset in the lens from where it starts in. Might be cool to see the broccoli stem extending beyond the rim of the glass so it is offset in size and direction too. Cindy

Like an alien inspection... Nice (and subtle) placement of the floret. -Ed Hahn

Wonderful image !
What is this device called? I am in desperate need of one!
ctfchallenge29-Mar-2005 21:11
It's his hobby.

WOW, you are a creative family. Is it his job or hobby?
Nugar29-Mar-2005 19:03
I thought as much, I would think it to be useful for soldering or glueing small pieces too.

This mysterious object (and the other one) belongs to my husband. He uses this for holding little model plane pieces while he paints on intricate detail.

I see that you are in possession of all kinds of mysterious devices like a good computer girl should. What is this thing used for? Cool pic btw

Yup...I like this much better Gayle....I have to agree...hard to "see" these objects...esp when not at my desk too much at the moment.

Gayle
I think this is better, imho.

Is that better? I think I pushed the processing on the first one to try and brighten up the background and blew out the highlights at the same time. The background on this seems quite dull, but now it's all there...no more blown highlights.
And no, it's not meant to be a parody on anyones work....I'm just desperate for something to enter!

Gayle...I like the interpretation and concept of this photo as a parody (?) of Sergio's work and title photos for this gallery, however, am a little disappointed in the image itself...technically speaking, parts of the gizmo are over-exposed and as such blown out. This detracts IMHO from the photo (the gizmo is interesting, and I'd like that detail in the photo)... I also wonder, judging from Sergio's and your shots of this gizmo, whether there might be a better perspective or vantage point for this image (since I don't own one of these gadgets, I can only postulate there might be)...All IMHO of course...it is a cool photo, and I think to be cool, I have to get me one of those gadgets soon!
