Tracy - Thanks for the compliment...I don't see what's wrong with drinking straight from the container....much more effective environmentally ;) (J/K). It isn't me in the photo however, I shoud point that out, as many people think this one is a self portrait....the first photo was indeed me, this one is a friend whom I managed to convince to hang out in a dark kitchen for 15 mintues...The fridge however is mine...and...well the lack of food...also mine...LOL!

Again, thanks for the comps..

I'm not sure if I'm mad at you 'cause you made me hungry, or because you're drinking straight from the container, or because your fridge is so clean, lol. I didn't see your image before this one, but this really works!! Great shot!
Cheers - Tracy!

Thanks Cindy for the comments and what an interesting topic to go for this week again...:)! As far as the milk goes, i cheated a little, it is a juice container with its cap on still (otherwise the length of the exposure would have meant drinking a lot of juice/whatever is in there now)....you just can't take any chances :-P....

You'll all be glad to know my fridge will look better in a few hours time :)! Have some work to do then off to get my food.

:-D

This is great. What a good idea - hope that milk is still good! ;) The magnets don't help you. Cindy

Hmm...what do I have in the fridge...well it is a pitiful bachelor's fridge right now...some fruit juices for cocktails, a salad, half a dozen tangerines, a pound of potatoes, a loaf of brown bread, and maybe a steak. In the door there are condiments, salad dressing etc. Pretty pitiful to be honest...end of the week and the fridge looks like this every time :)!

It suits me! Nice idea, I didn't see the shots leading up to this one, but this looks great. (What have you got in the fridge??) Shu

I retook the photo. The suggestions you all made so far have really helped the photo out in terms of composition and detail -- I have to agree that having a fuller open door and a distinct shape of the main focus is very helpful. Rather than entering, this time I took the shot as " caught in the act". I'd love some more feedback on the current iteration of the photo.

Cheers,
:-D

Sounds like an interesting concept.

As an alternative, do try opening the fridge door more and standing more to the right ( ie more in front of the open door). Try capturing the moment of picking up the snack you choose rather than the moment of opening the door ---- WONDERSTRUCK

Rob, Thank you for the comments! Much appreciated. I may try this one a few times to get the best photo out of it. I think the idea is interesting, it is just a tough shoot :)!

Cheers,

Great image, I like this image a lot and you asked for specific commnets - here goes:

1 - the message is there but... would I buy it? Too much black without a defined shape or POI

2 - color or lack of it works ok but no info on the contents doesn't work

3- didn't notice at all

4- more

5- not in this composition

This is my first take...I think I may try this one again and see if I can't get a crisper, perhaps better shot...I'd like a couple of comments on:

1) Does the picture convey enough information to be standalone?
2)The lack of color...does it work for this photo (note, my fridge is pretty empty right now).
3) The subject has a visor on...does this detract from the photo? Does it take away from the backlit hair.
4) More fridge light or less?
5) Do the magnets take away from the photo or not?

Thanks,
:-D
