Pigeon Point Light House

Desperately using lines and extreme wide angle to distort the lines and clouds to point to the light house and ...of course, "up". ;)

I like this image, the sky is nice and I don't think the rope frame is that bad

You're a funny guy, Dave but you are definitely right about the lighthouse being a tad close to the rope. I agree with that assessment. Thanks for the comments!

I like the idea and the balance. I can't help but comment that the top of the Light house is too close to the bounding rope... otherwise, the image really grabs me. The sky/clouds really add, as does the sun position. Short of digging a hole in the ground to get the perfect shot, great job (you probably wished by now you had dug that hole :) ).

Great Job,

:-D

Thanks Lonnit...uh...if I go any lower than this, I'd be underground. LOL.
The composition is made to frame the lighthouse with the rope. You are "supposed" to feel compelled to not go near the light house since you'll feel trapped but you are supposed to be still interested in it. So, you won't venture off past the skies. I hope that made sense. Let me know if you felt otherwise.

I think you needed to get a bit lower and further to the right. The lighthouse seems trapped by the rope and the post. Good try in the creativity dept. ~ Lonnit
