Actually I like the NO PARKING sign as it has the same colors as the lady directly under it. Also, it is a strange juxtaposition as the world "NO" does not normally feature when ladies go shopping. If I had the time, I would clone the background and leave just a white wall in the back ie get rid of the shop windows and signage at the back.
The 17-40 is my favourite lens now, though when it first came, it appeared to be not as sharp as the other lens in my stable. Maybe it is a psycological effect to do with the number of pixels per feature in a wide image. ---WONDERSTRUCK
Hi,maybe turning this into a street portrait might work better.
Have a look at chopping off the top of the image to just about the top of their heads.
I am waiting to try this lens as soon as my 10d gets back, how do you find the 17-40 ? this shot looks pretty sharp.
