9th Place - The Calm After the Storm*

After several days of rain the sky began to clear up and the surface of the ocean smoothed out. Even though the waves were tiny the surfers couldn't resist.

I processsed the raw file twice and made a sandwich to preserve the greatest density range.

1/4000s f/4.5 at 50.0mm iso200 full exif

That sky would look amazing with a 15mm lens! Great capture, and the tiny human figures give it a wonderful perspective.

Magnificent! The two surfers give perspective to nature's granduer. Only a poster size print would do it justice. Cheers - John McDonough
