I'm trying to figure out studio strobes and that meant a lot of setup shot anyway :-) Trying to combine glass and metal and light them so they both look correct.

I agree that the bullet needs some work. Whenever I try and trim the light I get reflections in either the bullet or the ash tray. The bullet is also picking up what I think is a reflection from the smoke. I really want to do this without compositing it so I keep reading and practicing :-) Thanks.

Interesting image. I think you've nailed the ash tray and cigarette but the bullet doesn't look right to me. Perhaps some frontal lighting trimmed to just the bullet would give it more weight.
