Mark--After your explanation, I now understand what you mean. I just don't know how to rotate it without cutting off part of the image I like. Thanks, anyway. Shu

what to say, shu? i like all the same characteristics of the image you brought to our attention in your last posted message. the colors and all the props are nicely fitting together visually for me.... but my mind keeps wanting to rotate that heart plate so that the front (pointed part) is turned towards the viewer more, just not straight at us.
I hope that expresses to you that i still like your images just as it is.. it's my crazy artsy mind that keeps nagging at me about this ;-0 markjay

Markjay and Joe--Just take this image and have your way with it!!!!! Show me what you mean!!!! I'd be most humbled, pleeeeeze????? (Just curious, if you have the time, cuz' I like it the way it is, but am open to sugestions.) What I like is the shadows and name on
envelope and the bright red heart accent plate with reflections....also, the green water jug and the blurred reflected beading on place mat. OK.....just have your way with it!!!! ?? Shu

I love the red / green combination, Shu. Rotate the "heart" to the right 1/3 and isolate your main subject by blurring the rear elements (as Joe suggested). The image "works" as it is but, IMHO all suggestions combined might enhance your image. Markjay

I like the composition, but a shallower DOF (either optical or via PS CS) would isolate the dominant subject better. This one also seems like a good candidate for a softening treatment (e.g. dupe layer, opacity @ 30%, Gaussian blur). Very nice shot as it stands, though.
