I think that this is definitely one of the darkest pictures I've ever taken... ;)

The former title of "Final" was changed on the suggestion of my friend.... I guess it works.. ;)

I think Lonnit's been watching too much CSI - nice crime scene analysis!

I feel like the image set-up is rather tasteless. Something about creating the look of a suicide (or was it murder, Lonnit?!) in the name of art strikes me the wrong way. I suppose that's the nature of art, though.

Is that the suicide note resting against the photos? It's blown out, so I'm not sure if it is an integral part of the image. - bee1000

This is the dreaded scene occasionally heard about over a lifetime.......it pictures what can only be imagined. Shu

I'm unsure about this one. I like the minimalist furniture, but do the family pictures in the background hurt it? The setting implies a lonely person with not much, but yet he has this large family which to me, seems to offer him a source of comfort to go to with his problems. OTOH, it's often the family that never suspects there was a problem, which would actually add, not detract from the scene. So, that's probably just a matter of individual viewer's personal interpretations of the story. What does bother me, is that the chair doesn't seem to be an a correct postion. He probably would have had stood on the chair with his toes pointed towards the backrest, then kicked it over to the front of him. This would have left the chair in a position where it was on its back, not its side, and it would have been directly in front of him. I don't see how the chair could possibly have landed where it did, in the position it did, even if he'd been hanging a while and we allowed for a bit of rotation in the rope. That said, I rule this NOT a suicide, but a murder! Therefore, you'd best have that evidence handy that this is not an actual person! ;) ~ Lonnit

Thanks iso3200. I figured that someone would be thinking along the same lines as I was... I just hoped that I would get to post first! ;)

I actually really disturbed some of my family by taking this... I even took a setup shot from wide and back using another camera to make sure that I could show that I wasn't using a real person if asked. :)

Guess it had the right effect!

Nice one. I was going to do virtually the same shot. Even my chair is nigh on identical! I was going to call mine *Swingers* :) You've staged it well.
