I guess it's the hair, but I found myself initially thinking "she's looking in a mirror". It was a pleasant surprise to find out that was not so. My only suggestion might be to crop out the OOF hand at the lower right.
The stance, expression and magical catchlight in her eye all work together nicely, and yes, the mirror effect is what I got from the first glance. Maybe the shot has appeal because you have to explore it to find that is not the case.
Ann - this is a very nice shot - very natural looking and candid, with great expression on the visible face. (*) Although it will crop off part of the right model's arm, perhaps crop it a bit closer, so that the heads are more evenly distributed across the frame? Alternatively, if the original has it, perhaps leave a little more on the left side? -Ed Hahn
At first, I thought this was a girl in a mirror type shot, but I see it is not. Nice expression on Sam's face (assuming the girl in focus is Sam)! --Olaf
