Thank you, Roberta. By the way, a couple nights ago, the band was playing again, so I printed an 8 1/2 by 11 print on Epson Colorlife paper for this musician. I couldn't find him (they were on break), so I gave it to the trumpet player to give to him later. I told him it was called "Trumpet Solo", and, of course, he understood why. The whole band enjoyed the print, and the sax/flute player thanked me from the stage when he got it.
The noise from ISO 1600, even after being processed with Neatimage was a bit disconcerting to me, so I experimented with various filters. I wound up using a dry brush filter to give it more of a painted look. It's subtle, but if you look at the print carefully, it's noticeable, and I think it looks good.
Later in the evening, another photographer was there taking flash photos from every angle. I really hope she was shooting picture for the band, because the flash was really annoying. In more than one of her pictures, I'm sure I will be clearly visible shielding my eyes. -- Victor
