Nice picture. The story for me in this pict unfolds when I try to understand who he is and why he's leaning against a wall. Homeless? To happy and calm. Out walking the dog? But why then sitting. Hm. Interesting. The dog adds a dimension.

Hi Jono
I just returned to look at your photo again and noticed the comment about copying the eye. I all honesty, it took me a while to realize that their eyes were both looking the same way. I think it is a wonderfully clever photo in that you captured that moment. Sorry for any confusion in my writing.

I know what you mean Phil. The fact he (they) were aware of me does make it sort of staged, but at the same time, I wasn't trying to take the shot without him knowing. I think the look on his face does actually tell you something about our encounter, but I guess you had to be there to understand that. I think teh overriding reason why i posted this though was for the man/dog similarities and the 'look' they were both giving me. - Jono

This certainly fits the theme, and I quite like it overall. There's good eye contact, but I'm wondering if that slightly detracts from it. Phil

Ok then. I think the first comment might have referred to me actually 'copying' the mans eye and 'pasting' it onto the dog. This was not the case at all. I did however chose this photo from several for the very similar look in their eyes and the way they are both positioned. There are a lot of similarities between man and dog here, thats what I like about it. - Jono

I wish you guys would just say what you're talking about instead of being cryptic about it. I have no idea what either of you just said. I like the similar expression on the person and the dog. This sort of thing seems to be a common theme in street photography. -- Victor

If what I think you think i've done is correct, then I haven't! But in true Cartier-Bresson style, that was the moment, and it won't be happening again. Does this make it even more clever? - Jono

It took me a while to clue in. I knew it looked like the dog was thinking, but I was not sure what it was about the photo. Finally, it dawned on me. Very clever!
