High Keys-Low Keys*

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Please let me know what you think. I like the name anyway (assuming this is high key enough). :o)

Funny, I left the caps lock down just so there was some colour. Wish I had had time to reshoot some stuff.

Interesting that no one has mentioned the green caps lock light. I would clone it out so the image was more monochromatic, but I bet others would disagree. - bee1000

I'll see how that looks too (if I end up having time...). I really appreciate the comments you all are giving.

Cheers,

(*) While you are recomposing, perhaps try a more top-looking-down shot with the keys at a more oblique angle (e.g. 30 degrees)? -Ed Hahn

Nope, it's definitely an apple keyboard, the 'alt' is a little side note on the 'option' key in the top corner. The problem with leaving the shift key in fully was that it took away some of the contrast and shadows (as there were fewer breaks between keys) and if one back up and makes the keys look smaller then in my opinon it isn't quite as neat looking as it just starts to look like a picture of a keyboard then. I was also thinking about takeing some black keys and stiking them in the white ones in a checkboard pattern, but I decided not too. Maybe something to try later.

But thank you for the comments, I will actually try some shots with the shift key in to see if I like it. If I do, it might be here a little later.

I like Olaf's idea about "High Keys - Low Keys". And I like the photo -- really great shot. Although, Olaf, isn't this a PC keyboard because of the ALT key? I thought MACs had the Option key instead of the ALT? At any rate, this is definitely graphic in nature. Nice job -- I like that you left the caps lock light on!

Definitely graphic and why venture far away, when you have the subject right under your hand? Looks an awful lot like the latest version of Apple's keyboard - like the one I am typing this on, except mine being a Danish model, I have an extra key between the shift-key and the z-key... I would consider changing the title to "High Keys - Low Keys" as the keys to the right are all black. Also, isn't that what the shift key and caps lock key do - shift between high keys and low keys? Hmm, maybe you should include the symbols on those two keys? --Olaf
