Anna, I have come to the conclusion that, of your three shots from Sergels Torg, I like this one the best. The two in the eligible gallery are very nice as well, but this one has another dimension, missing in the other two. It tells more of a story, mainly thanks to the wider angle. One small person in that vast area of repeating triangles, the umbrella and the wet flooring, the hand rail which provides a way out for that poor soul trapped, but she does not seem to see it. It all adds up to a very strong and story-telling photograph. Like Georgia said, an excellent mood shot. Very, very good! --Olaf

I love this one. The pattern of the pavement makes for such and expansive scene, leaving the person so lonely and lost. The dreary weather contributes to this forlorn, lonesome feeling. Excellent mood shot!

Ohhh, right low corner :)))

This is a great image and I loved it the first time I have seen it at your site at pbase. Still, I feel that "something" is not completely right with the object in the left low corner

Hi Olaf and Fret/Anders,
Thx for the comments. I don't know how to clone out things effectively and will leave this image "as it is" for the moment. Thx again.

Olaf, I think you're right. It does bring a sense of direction.

A good capture of the Scandinavian summer of 2004 - it sure was cold and rainy this year!!! The blue umbrella against the black and white pattern of Sergels Torg (spelling?) makes for an interesting and graphic composition. I am not sure I agree with Anders on cloning out the handrail - it adds a sense of direction, a destination for the subject to head for. I find the reflected lights more of a distraction than the handrail. They are less important to the image. But then again, they help in showing the rain (shiny surface = wet surface = rain). --Olaf

Very nice, I've been trying to get a good shot of this view, but no luck so far.
I think I'd be tempted to clone out the handrail at the lower right.
