Thanks Phil, I was quite happy with the result after a few attempts with various settings and hand held.
It's actually flexible ducting, the type used to link up from an extractor fan to the outside of a house. Curled up slightly to give the corkscrew effect and positioned in daylight to continue light throughout which stopped dark patches. Pete

OK, you got me, I don't know what it is, but the exposure looks spot-on and it seems perfectly focussed too. Good stuff, one of the very few that has caught my eye in this gallery Pete. Phil
