This shot was pure luck. I was shooting black necked stilts and least sandpipers when a pair
of harriers arrived on the scene. This one is the female, I believe. Lens was a Canon 500mm F4 L IS with 1.4x teleconverter, hand-held with a Bushhawk shoulder stock.
Fine lighting with great composition and colors. Roberta

700mm! Blimey. What lens was this with? the DoF has worked out great with mega bokeh in the background and the prey still recognisable but also blurred. - Jono
