Scott suggested I try to use a flash, and this is one of the images in a long series of attempts with it. Of course with the flash I didn't have the luxury of 1/4000s exposure to freeze the wings, but I do love the colors I found in this shot. The birds jump a lot whenever the flash fires, so this was tricky. I hope submitting a 1D Mark II shot to the 10D forum challenge was acceptable.
