Simply, a Balloon *

Nothing clever about this one, just strong bright colour and good detail in the flame.
None of the balloon images have been subject to much sharpening, and in light of the recent announcement and the inevitable "need" for a 20D, I've never been happier with the images coming out of my 10...

Very colourful shot Phil. I like Olaf's cropped version too. This shot reminds me of some I took on slide a few years ago. I'll look them out and maybe add some to the exhibition gallery. Teapot.

Phil, another way to improve the composition would be cropping the image something like so: -- Olaf

Phil, I think it's a matter of composition - no tension. Same image with lots of sky underneath (maybe even a horizon) and on one of the sides and maybe some more on top too, would improve on it immensely, I think. Of course, interesting cloud formations never hurt either... --Olaf

I wonder whether the lack of clouds in the skyis hampering this pic? In just about every other pic I took there was loads of interesting cloud detail, and while there is some in this, it's very faint. PhilM
