I had a similar idea to this (didn't have any idea that this was yours!) and knew of a great place to take the pics. My parents used to take us there (Luton airport) as kids, it's literally 100 yards from the end of the runway as the planes go right overhead. It's pretty unnerving, actually, as they head towards you! (I even got told by the security lady that I wasn't allowed to sit on top of my car, I assume she was worried I might be sucked into the fans!). However, I choose the wrong day and time (early Sunday) and found myself badly underexposed on the aircraft. Interesting experience, though, and I plan to take my kids there to scare the pants off them! PhilM

ISO,
You should go out more :) Dramatic and in your face. Excellent. Roberta

I also checked out that site. I liked your view more than most... but I really liked this one because it looks like it's going to snap the front wheels off any second. =^)

Planespotter? No, not really. I just work in the aviation industry. The planespotters scare me a bit. ;-) -Ed Hahn

Ed - I tried the search and was very surprised. I got loads of pics of the same airplane!http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?keywords=CS-TJG . Are you a closet planespotter?

Ed is right. The sky is pretty true to the original. The picture has only been tweaked for colour and sharpness overall. The RAW file is just a bit duller in the sky. No replacements here I'm afraid.

I think it's real - the reflection of the sky off the fuselage would be very difficult to get right by doing a color shift...especially on a white-painted airplane if the sky were grey. -Ed Hahn

LOve the shot. That's a SkIso, not a real sky though, isn't it? ~ Lonnit

Wow! An Iso shot taken outdoors and with a blue sky.. (I didn't think they had any over there)... I like the feel of this photo... it makes me want to duck. -Byron

Nice...your sky was much more cooperative than mine. ;-) (BTW, if you want to know more about the airplane, enter "CP-TJG" into Google...and it looks like there's a small hydraulic leak somewhere (red fluid)) - Ed Hahn
