Shu,
I like it very much. The clarity is great and I like the semi abstract interpretation. The reflection in the bubble almost looks like an art gallery. Not your typical bubble shot. Great idea and something I would like to shoot sometime. Roberta

Thanks for the idea Byron. I tried to come up with an acceptable crop, but was unsuccessful at finding one I liked. Probably more experience in PS would have helped. Of course, I have all these creative ideas, but feel frustrated that I'm unable to achieve them..........yet. Shu

Great idea, Shu! I ditto Anna in that I wish I had thought of it myself!

Hmmm... that might actually have made the photo more interesting to make the photo have the bubble popping out of the frame... like it was invading our screen. I bet it could be done too... (If you think the photo had a tight crop... how about this one...with the bubble extending beyond the crop). Would be interesting and different. -Byron

Shu, I like the focus here, but the potential of that bubble to reflect something interesting/prettier should be tried outdoors. Great idea, btw, wish I had thought of it myself.

Guys--Is there something wrong with me? I just opened this image and the bubble appeared as tho' it was about to pop right out of the frame!! (I guess if it did that, it would really be on it's way....) Okay, okay, if the photographer likes it, that's all that matters. Ha-Ha Thanks for your critiques. I really appreciate them. Shu

I like the concept and the detail in the bubble but agree that it could use a little more space.

OK Shu, I'll give you my opinion: while I can see the validity of cropping like you did in some instances, I think it works against the concept of flight. You have locked the bubble in on almost three sides, which makes the bubble look very static and the only movement visually possible would be a rolling motion towards the left... Also, the OOF interior is kind of distracting - I would imagine this type of shot would work better outside with the sky in the background - maybe some silky smooth OOF greenery in the frame as well would be OK. --Olaf

I intentionally cropped it this way. The idea was to get a closeup look at the bubble in an abstract manner. I do appreciate your comment, however. Perhaps someone else will be kind enough to offer an opinion. Shu

Very nice. Nice exposure and a great idea. I would, if this is a crop, put a touch more room bottom and right-something along the line of what you have in the top. Else this looks like a bit of an accidental crop. --Jonathan (Yoni)
