Great shot, Larry!

This is excellent. The bright flower is very eye-catching, but the bee is still noticeable. I had a bee and flower shot that I was considering entering, but it could not compete with this. --Garrett

Larry, what amazes me here, is how you managed to get both flower and bug to be within the plane of focus at f/4 and with the background so nicely out of focus!?!? Very nice capture! I am debating with myself on the framing: You've cropped out the very tip of the right flower petals but have left room on all other sides. I don't know if it would be any better, but I would also try keeping the whole flower just inside the frame OR cropping more tightly on the top and right sides - to the point where it looks more intentional. Just a thought. Still a great shot as is! --Olaf

Looks better with the extra room. A great one...

Thanks for your comments and feedback. I added a little more space on the left. -Larry

Very nice shot Larry, am sure this wasn't easy at all. But confess I would like to see more space on the left too but great as it is. Cheers

Very well done. (*) Dunno if your original has the room, but perhaps give the bee a tiny bit more room on the left side? -Ed Hahn
