Thanks Wonderstruck, I know what you mean but its just that there wasn't really much Post processing on this for the skin to look thus, good make up and a slight bit of gaussian blur. I don't know why but am really into the smooth looking skin syndrome nowadays...........guess its a phase and will probably get out of it soon. :-)

Thanks for details on Post processing. I think that what the audience is saying is that in this particular case, the Skin might have gone one step too plastic for their liking. Maybe you could consider bringing back some texture on the skin for a more lifelike appearance. Great pic otherwise ( Nice model, nice pose, nice prop, nice framing) --- WONDERSTRUCK

Something about this seems lifeless. She makes me think of a maniquin (don't know if I spelled that right) or a robot or a madam tuseau wax figure (bet there's some spelling mistakes in there). Maybe too much makeup.

(For the record I deleted my last message saying the same since I forgot to say I mean no offence to your sister) :o)

Also, Wonderstruck, its good to start off with great make up, base/foundation/blush/etc since that will, with good lighting, give you a glam look instantly.

Thank you Shu/Wonderstruck. Regarding post processing, I shoot in RAW, set the sharpness to 0, the Luminescence/colour to 100 smoothness, then open in PS and sharpen everthing but skin which is given a slight Gaussian blur. Thats pretty much it.

Another very interesting pic from Vikas, the "L" of these competitions.

Would love to know your post processing to glam the lady--- WONDERSTRUCK

This is smooth, bright and beautiful. Easy on the eyes! Shu

Thanks for your comments Lonnit, appreciate the candour and agree with you completely. This was just a shot my sister wanted for herself and yes, the spark in it is missing. But thankfully she likes it. ;-)

Cheers.

Vikas.

Technically perfect, but it leaves me emotionless as compared to the usual reality and - geez, I'm at a loss for the right words here - life, I guess one could say, of your other shots. I'm used to being WOWED by a Vikas. I was actually very surprised to see this was yours. No disrespect to the Master of course. :) ~ Lonnit
