Garrett, I'm glad you didn't hold back on posting that shot! I like it. The incline is enough to make it the feel of a struggle to get up that hill, without having an obvious tilt to the image that makes one say "oh, this is just a tilted image". I think your quantity of tilt was absolutely spot on. Kudos on the capture. Subtlety is always more effective - like that little pinch of cinnamon; enough to make one wonder what that nice flavor is, but not enough to really identify where it comes from!
As for your 9 degrees - I beg to differ! I just checked it in Photoshop and it is NOT a mere 9 degrees. It is 9 POINT FOUR degrees!!!! LMAO!!!! ;)
Teapot, I wanted to go into Manhattan to do my planned challenge shots, which I never got to do, but I'd been waiting all year for the Pow Wow. Sunday was the last day, so I went and figured maybe there was a chance I could get a tilt shot there to salvage an entry for the challenge. Only my train shot was truly planned as a challenge shoot, but I've been so busy I had no time to go shoot the others I'd planned. :( So, here is my tilted Native American during the dance competition.
Protractors? Try the measure tool in Photoshop. The tilt is around 9 degrees. After seeing that this qualifies for the challenge, I posted my "Uphill Sprint". --Garrett

Protractors out class!
What's the story on the subject Lonnit?
LOL! Who said it had to be "overly" inclined? LOL! See that white thing in the lower left corner? That is supposed to be level, so we've got about a 20 degree angle here - enough to allow him to come out of the corner of the frame. :) ~ Lonnit
