Hi, Very nice pic!
Did you really use an FD lens on your 10D? How did you mount it on?
The quality is great, doesn't seem like an extention...
Thanks.

i hate to be a wet blanket but...although this image is clever and well executed, after seeing it, there isn't much that makes me want to keep looking at it again and again. it just seems like there isn't much room for the viewer to discover something new after looking at it once. but don't misunderstand me...i don't think it is a bad image. it just doesn't go to 11 for me.

Vikas: Initially, I looked for Mike Callahan's moniker (MFC) on this, as it has three of his hallmarks: Well-conceived, well-executed, and utterly perfected in post-processing. Composition, colors, and sense of motion are perfect. Likely my favorite image thus far. Very nice. --Joe

Vikas,
Hi again! Love the shot. What was your shutter speed? Thanks, Roberta

Beautifully done. May I ask how you managed to get the ball so perfectly focused ? Did you prefocus, drop the ball, trigger the shutter, and then have a delayed flash ? Really a wonderful shot. Bockshufler

Karl, you are absolutely correct, the ball was dropped onto the racquet and the pic was then rotated in PS. Took many tries since I was doing the dropping after starting the self timer on the camera and then rushing in front of it, making sure that the ball dropped at just the right moment. Took many a take... :-) ..... Vikas.

So simple yet so great! ~ Lonnit

Would I be correct in assuming that this was actually rotated for presentation? ie, the ball was actually dropped down onto the raquet? Just curious :) It seems that the ball's path is too perfectly horizontal to have been thrown.

Cheers,
Karl P
