Thanks Phil, I played around with the toning and this was the one that screamed to be chosen. I was very happy with that. Mmmm... grain... perhaps I should have played with a very fine bit, and maybe dodge a corner or two, perhaps wrinkle it a bit....LOL! Or, I could just leave the cleanliness of it alone to keep with the modern side of it. But now I'm thinking how much fun it could be to do all that other stuff! :)

Victor, I cannot believe the places they manage to access with a can of spray paint!

Lonnit, no doubt about it, you got the toning absolutely spot-on here. The only thing you could have added was a touch of grain/noise perhaps, though I like it as it is. Phil

I had the same impressions as Olaf. I also noticed the no trucks with graffiti sign (grin). It doesn't add to the picture at all. I just found it humorous. I guess someone risked their neck to paint that graffiti. -- Victor

I do like the impressin I've made that at first you think it's an old picture but then realize the other cars are all new. Don't kid yourself about the left lane... this car was moving! He was doing about 60 MPH! I'd assume it was NOT the original motor! LOL! I'm glad you found it interesting. :)

And no, I don't see much beauty in the surrounding road. It's all pavement and what's not pavement are cars and then vertical concrete! Nope, this is not the most scenic place in NYC! LOL!

I see some humor in this. The sepia-tone brings out the humor even more, by making the photo look as old as the car. The old car looks out of time and place. What's it doing on a freeway? And in the far left lane too? Totally misplaced!!! I guess what I am trying to say is that the contrast between old and modern is what makes this shot funny and interesting.

OK, that's what I had to say about the photo... Now, what do you think of the depicted environment? Can anybody see any beauty in it? Is this really what we want our world to be like? Sorry, but these thoughts crossed my mind too, when I looked at this photo...
