Hi Olaf, the speed was 1/250 or so, fast enough to make the wings visible, but not fast enough to freeze it... These guys are the biggest hummingbirds on my country (Violet Sabrewings, -Campylopterus hemileucurus-) Thanks for stopping by! Carlos Ch.

Excellent! Must have been a very fast shutter speed, for the wings of a humming bird to be so clear? The background is brighter right behind the bird - nice effect! --Olaf
