I took this scene during sunset. The sky was paintedin very yellow red tones. It looked nice too, but it did not express the mood I associated with industrial photos. So I decided to go for a more uncommon look.

Much better. I'm curious, though. What is the natural color of the sky in this shot? -- Victor

I fixed the darkness of the sky between the stacks.
I also reduced the saturation of the sky a little bit. It fits better to black gold now.

Thanks victor. You are absolutely right! Very impressing how you look at the images and what comes to youur eye/mind (I suppost that wasn't an english sentence).

I do have one criticism of this one, though, that doesn't apply to the other. It looks like the sky was darkened to the left of the center stack. Whatever darkening is applied I think should be applied equally to each side of the stack, or at least more equally than it was done here, especially since the reflection now does not match the sky. -- Victor

I like this one better, as well. The letter reflections are a nice touch. Shu

Of your two similar images, I like this one much better. The river does all the necessary direction perfectly. No need for the extra feature that just becomes clutter in the other picture. -- Victor

This is very good image, but I like your other shot better - the composition is more thoughtful and creative, and more effective. If you hadn't posted both, I probably would have thought this one was great!
