Ancient Lanterns light the pathways near Makhtoum House, Heritage Village, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

( This was the house in which the last Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid Al Makhtoum, was born. Generally considered a visionary of his times, Sheikh Rashid lead the transformation of Dubai from a pearling and trading Village to an ultra modern and safe city. I daresay no other modern leader in the world presided over such a high degree of change within his reign as Sheikh Rashid. This is my humble tribute to a great leader)
