An historic ornate building in Galveston, TX known as the Bishop's Palace.
This building was completed in 1893 at a cost of $250,000 (that's about 4.8 million in 2002 dollars) and originally the home to a confederate colonel.
The Catholic diocese owned the structure from the 1920's through the 1950's, and thus it's name.
