I know what you mean about the mystery, and I agree. :)

This dining room set was the first "real furniture" hubby and I purchased. It's 16 coats of hand rubbed Italian black lacquer - hence the mirror finish. I have an attraction to shiny objects! LOL!

I too thought the little bit at the bottom added some interest. That is actually the reflection of the header that hangs above the table.

Yes, this one had no choice to be frameless. I thought a frame would have killed it. It's beauty is it's simplicity - I didn't want to detract from that. I also thought it was strong enough to stand on it's own. I'm very happy that you noticed and commented on that.

Like this one the best of your dining room shots, but would probably have liked it even more if I hadn't seen the other ones. It would be more of a mystery to me that way, if you know what I mean? Nice abstract! How can the table be so reflective? Is there a sheet of glass on top? - Or is it just an amazing varnish-job - like on a grand piano? The line at the very bottom of the frame adds something, IMO. Also, I like it frameless like this - goes well with the simplicity and abstractness of the shot. --Olaf
