I think I would have preferred to see more of the watcher, since he's in the title. Placing the tripod a bit to the left might have worked. Beautiful picture anyway.
Phil, your image has great composition and, I really like the sun reflection off the road in this image. The sun area is very "blown out" but, I know how hard a glaring sun can be to capture... I do it almost every day at the beach :-) I didn't notice you in the image until I read ISO's comments but, now that I see it I like the subdued presence. Markjay

The original was very orange over-all, so I tweaked the RGB levels to get more blue in the sky and green in the grass for (hopefully) a more natural look.
I liked the fact that I was barely visible, but have added a slight diffuse glow to my outline to slightly emphasise my presence - does it work better or is it still too subtle? Phil
Worth the effort Phil. Difficult to get right with such a glaring feature in the composition, but exposure doesn't look to bad to me. The couple of birds are a nice touch to this, and the colours in the sky, whilst not dramatic are of pleasing tones and nice clouds. Hard to make you out though. I didn't see you on a first glance. Maybe it's my monitor, but your shape is pretty well hidden by the tree.
