Christmas Coat
* by Teapot

This shot was inspired by a painting I saw in a hotel in Westport, Ireland. It was of a coat draped in lights. I was really pleased with the way the lights appear as pointed stars. This seems to be a product of my new 50mm f1.4 lens. Postprocessing was sharpening and Gausian blur and fade.

I love the way it's lit and the leather looks butter-soft. I don't care for the chair at all and would love to see this with a black background as you say. ~ Lonnit

Funny, I actually like the other christmas light string shot better :-). This would make a great tacky window display in a store LOL (just kidding) Markjay

I love this shot. I especially like how you've caught the soft glow of the lights on the surface of the coat.

I suppose you could have been wearing the coat, for a different touch :)

Ed. Didn't really have much time to shoot this one so I probably could have picked better backdrops. I quite like the chair but maybe should have cloned out the edge of the table. What I really would have liked was a completely black bacground but I still needed someway of supporting the coat.
