I've done this several times and it is NOT so easy to get the defining light refraction the way you want it to look. You did a nice job on this one, Ed. Markjay

Actually, there is no ambient light in this shot, other than what spilled over from my light source. This shot was also much harder to capture than I ever thought it would be - mainly because the light source has to be as narrow as possible in order for the spectrum NOT to have a white line down the middle of it. -Ed Hahn

Hehe, I've been waiting for a picture like this. Have you tried shooting it with much less ambient light?
