Elevated*

Gammel Strand, Copenhagen, Denmark

Same place, same time**, different viewpoint and a whole different kind of photograph.
In post processing I increased the contrast with curves, made a multiplied layer of the sky
(60% opacity) and cloned out a few small, but distracting elements.

**Same as the previous photograph: "On the Path of Light"

About the lens: Here the sun is in the middle of the frame and ghosting was unavoidable.
The increased contrast made it even more noticable, but I don't mind it in this case.

Canon EOS 10D ,Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX Fisheye
1/350s f/9.5 at 15.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I'll go with this one over the other as well. I very much like the bright sun in the centre... though it sort of looks as if it'd been placed there by a censor to hide certain parts of the statues anatomies! Phil

Suzy: Thank you! While I do understand what you mean by this being more dynamic and powerful, I can't tell you which one I like best myself. Even if it is at the same place and time (and even the same lens), I think they are so very different and that they each have their own strengths.

Angela: Wow, thanks for the kind and encouraging words! You really sound so whole-heartedly enthusiastic! You gave me a big smile on my face, when I read your comment! Thank you!!!

This one is awesome!! I love the way the sun spills through the sculpture!! Sometimes flare and ghosting are WONDERFUL art additions to things, and here, it works so so well. Beautiful fisheye shot!

Hey Olaf! Between "On the Path of Light" and this one, I seem to have a different opinion than everyone else. I prefer this one, as to me, it is more dynamic and powerful -- plus it shows the sculpture better!
