I really like the illusion of three dimensions this picture has. The shadows are on a totally flat wall. The illusion is caused by the light source being located very close to the near edge of the steamer basket.

There's a trick to shots like these. You have to use a point light source. A large bulb will not work. It will create very blurry shadows. I used a Mag-Light (2x AA size) with the head unscrewed off.
