Thanks Anna. If I get a chance I'll play around with the crop. I'm so busy I can't keep up! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Lonnit this is the best photo of feet I've seen in a long time.
Sorry to suggest even more changes, but I think a tighter crop would be nice. All around the frame.

Thank you Shu. :)

Victor, I was debating about that dark hair as well and cropped out some. I guess you'd like an iota more out. I think I prefer the other sudsy feet shot too, but I do like this one and I'm getting sick of entering the same picture in 2 challenges, so I went with this one here and the other there. LOL!

Craig, my kids seem to prune up quickly! LOL!

Victor, the extra crop in my "framing experiment" was actually just done in an attempt to get rid of the soft shadow from Lonnit's (the original) frame. I couldn't get rid of it all, as I didn't want to crop into the hand, but now that you've mentioned it, I can see how the darkness of the hair is a bit distracting. I hadn't noticed - and am amazed at how much detail you notice! You must have an eye of a dove! [doves are known to have an extraordinary ability to discern small detail in a vast area] --Olaf

No hard lines in this "patterned" image.... soft and tender and very fetching, indeed. You have a wonderful imagination, Lonnit. Shu

Olaf, I noticed you also cropped a bit more from the top. I like Olaf's crop better because the original admits too much dark (hair). For what it's worth, I think the other toes picture was better. -- Victor

I love the composition of this shot, with the stifled laugh in the background. You probably could have done well in the previous contest with this one too :) Apropos to this contest, I notice that you left your daughter in the bath long enough to get a nice wrinkle pattern on the soles of her feet, too.

Olaf! Bingo!!! Yes, now you finally hit the nail on the head! I totally understand what you mean. You're right, it the proportions of the frame to the picture are what one might find in a 5x7. Thinning the frame certainly does make it now look like the 11x14 shots I have framed and hanging on my wall. Thank you for finally figuring this out for me! Much appreciation. :) ~ Lonnit

Very nice shot Lonnit - I'm tempted to say artistic! I can definitely imagine this in a photo gallery at some art exhibit. I am sorry to bring this up again, but I do react against the frame. In trying to find out why, I downloaded your image and experimented with alternative frames, trying to stay somewhat close to your original frame, with a light matte and a pink frame. My conclusion is that it has to do with the relative size of the frame compared to the image. The frame adds a sense of scale and the way you've done it here, the photo looks small, like a 5x7,5" photo say. The same frame in half the amount of pixels would help a lot, I think. I would have liked to email you the result of my framing experiments, but your email address is not listed in your profile, so instead I have posted it here:

I'll take it away, if you'd like - I just wanted you to see it and hear your opinion. --Olaf

Come on Lonnit own up. Have we all seen you in the bath now? ;)
Fantastic shot.
