Like this one better than the other one - and I love how you used DOF for this, with strong diagonal composition. -Ed Hahn

Arra, at work I am the one who takes photos of our architectural models, for competitions and such, so I KNOW what I am about to suggest is hard, but nevertheless I think I would have preferred a lower shooting angle: Ideally it should look like it was seen by one of those 1:120-sized people. I know, the lens and camera are just too big! I try to shoot from the edge of the model which allows for a human scale view-angle. If you can't shoot from the edge another (tricky) way of doing it, is to place a mirror-glass at an angle and shoot down. It's rare that you'll be able to find a piece of mirror that has just the size you seem to be needing. Another big challenge in this type of photography is depth of field - or the lack of it - and you have done well in that department! --Olaf

IMO, I think the DOF is too shallow here - I think it's good that the tunnel and background are out of focus, but I think the engine itself ought to have been completely within the DOF. Just me, of course... Phil

arra,
I like this train image very much. The lighting is great, perfect DOF, and excellent use of complementary colors. You are able to make a toy train look so wonderful. Outstanding work! Roberta
