Blue & Yellow painted with light
by Angela Johnson

I bought these wine glasses two years ago for my husband.
They are hand blown and have these little blue and yellow
swirlies on them. I thought they'd be perfect for this.
Coupled with a bright blue glass vase to pop them more,
I set them up here and painted them with light.

I moved my slinky shot to exhibition to make room for this one.
If that's not ok, please let me know.

f20, 30 seconds, 47mm, ISO 100.
Ivory chenille blanket for background on this one.
Simple everyday Maglite Flashlight used again.
only PS work was framing.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Still like the lighting, but in this one I feel too distanced from the subject. Might be due to the relatively small size (pixelwise) of the photo. My favorite of yours in this gallery, is "Red & Green painted with light". --Olaf

Angela, I love the backdrops your using. The glasses are beautiful and the swirls are compelling. Nice job. E-

Angela, this is lovely! I often use a standard flashlight for my photos (Party's Over is one) and diffuse the light with a Tupperware container.
I really like the swag effect the backdrop has made. This would make a perfect advertisment for fancy glassware.
