Here is a link to an post I saw several months ago. It shows a before and after image, and if you read through some of the replies you will find a short description of how to do it.

Earl,

Thank you for the suggestion and comments, but unfortunately I don't really know how to do such a framing yet :(
If you could give me a link where I can read about that technique - I would appreciate it.

Roberta,

No, I did not crop it - just made it a little bit bigger. I tried to crop it more, but it does not work (at least in my eyes). I uploaded the original photo to the exhibition gallery:http://www.pbase.com/image/26202363 - as you can see there are much more in the frame :)

Thanks for your comments - next time I will shoot more pictures from different angles and with different framing - so I will be able to crop it differently.

Alex,
You did crop it a bit...right?! I think it works well and reveals some of the water droplets and details in the center of the flower. Roberta

Very Vivid colors. I like the crop you've used. It gives depth to the photo. I've see some digital frames where they make part of the image pop out of the frame. This photo might be a candidate for such framing for fun. E-

Alex,
The clarity and colors are wonderful. (*) IMO I'd like to see a tighter crop. There are some very interesting details/drops that might look great a bit larger. Roberta
