He thought we had left him alone. This was a "Grab shot" when we "found" him, hence odd settings for an outdoor pic on a bright day.

Thanks for your comments. Actually this was totally unplanned. Fighting my instincts to give him a hug when he was "rediscovered", I just had to take a pic first using last night's manual settings. Shutter speed of 1/30 s for a child ? 400 ISO in bright outdoors ?

I feel this one. Perfect timing on the photo. The tear is in full drop. So sad, so wonderful.
