I created this image from a seagull photo I took at the Del Mar
race track. I modified it when playing with a photoshop plugin
after being inspired by the photo "Rising Sun" by Vikas in the
Movie Titles challenge.

I like this image very much, but also mine first impression was "no, it can not be real" without going into much analyzing

Thanks for your comments. I used a tool called flood from flaming pear (www.flamingpear.com). It is a lot of fun to play with and gives you a lot of control over how you want the "liquid" to appear.

Earl, I really like this image. The monotone color and the gull's reflection are both very nice touches. There are a couple of giveaways though, that this is a photoshop created image... The lighting on the gull doesn't quite match the weather depicted and there is something about the scale of the waves under the gull (too small) compared to the size of the gull (too big) that just doesn't seem believable. I still think it is a very nice and powerful image though. Well done! What photoshop filter did you use for the waves? --Olaf

I have so many similar images, but I like the way you have matched the colouring of the water with the sky so that only the texture is different. Phil
