San Diego

Irina was kind enough to model for me as I tested my new 550EX flash.
...plus she wanted to document how she looked one month after having Abigail :)
1-13: eyes sharpened per Olaf's suggestion - Thanks!

Ralph, this is a very nice portrait of a beautiful woman! A tad blurry though, which is just fine for all parts of the image, except the eyes. I imagine that you could fix it with some selective sharpening on the eyes.
Here's what I would try: Duplicate background layer. Sharpen new layer using USM - and don't be afraid to overdo it. Add a black layer mask to the new layer. Paint the eyes with white on the mask, using a low opacity brush, until the eyes are sharp enough. Again don't be afraid to overdo it a little, it will be fixed in the final step: adjust (reduce) the opacity of the new layer to your liking. --Olaf
