Thanks, Lonnit (I think). I think the tree the thorn came from is a honeylocust (Gledistia triacanthos). The thorn is over a foot long. The egg is smaller than an inch, probably about a centimeter. I was wondering how I was going to balance the egg on the thorn. As it turned out, since I dried the egg in salt, there's a heavy spot where the contents dried. This made it relatively easy to place on the thorn. Interestingly, this weight also made it nearly impossible to orient the egg the way I wanted it in the Quaker Egg on Thorns picture. I'd set the egg down, and it would instantly rotate in place.
Very interesting, intriguing shot. My brain is still trying to deal with it! LOL! I think it's one of those things that might cause a computer to melt while trying to process it. I can't seem to grasp any words or emotions - you've glitched me!!!!!!!! LOL! ~ Lonnit
