A sad welcome for a local homeowner after the fires last month. The whole scene was surreal, with other homes on the block and the trees behind untouched. The front brick entryway stood strong, as opposed to the rest of the home.

An extremely touching documentary shot. Those fires and their aftermath puts everything into perspective. I really like your use of the brick doorway (which appears fine) to lead the eye into the shambles within. Wonderful job on a very sad and powerful subject. -- angela :)
