Earl, you're wife's interpretation made me burst out laughing! Perhaps she's got it right. I do find it somewhat more satisfying to view that way :-)
Al, I tried to shoot this so that anyone who has experienced this type of breakdown in a relationship, or seen it in others' relationships, will identify with the scene this picture depicts. I think you're right that it's all too common.
Even if there weren't a movie called the Wall, you'd get the overpowering sensation of the solid obstruction between the couple. I wonder how many "walls" like this are built every day?
Good shot.--Al Pacheco
I just wanted to add this ... My wife and I were talking about your picture after she saw it for the first time. I told her what I thought you were thinking and then she told me what she thought you were thinking. I liked her idea better ... She said you were just waiting for the poison to take effect. :) -Earl Waud
Thank you all so much for the comments. This is my husband and me (wow, ten seconds is a pretty long time!) in our *completely* staged :-) interpretation of marital strife. Note I did not totally desaturate the image - a sign things aren't completely dead perhaps. Any critiques welcome. Denise

This is one of my favorites. It should probably make me think of Empty Spaces but for some strange reason it makes me think of a couple of tracks before that: Mother. At any rate... definitely Floydian. Great job!
(And now I'm going off to watch the Roger Waters' The Wall Live DVD... again :))
When I first saw the picture I didn't get why you titled it "The Wall" and then Earl made his comments and it hit me, I guess that I am a little slow today :)
The other thing about this picture is that it "feels" like Pink Floyd and I can't put my finger on why....I can just see this as part of their album art.
I really do like this shot, and the best part is that I can't explain why...I just do.
Denise, this is a very interesting image. Based on the title I am interpreting it to be highly emotional situation, and I can almost feel the tension in the photograph. Its like an argument is a just moment away. Im hoping that it was completely staged because I find it very convincing. Nice entry. Earl Waud
