Very impressive visual, Scott. I vote for this one!

I think this image works well without any props. Evil has no face and can be the "people next door" or people even familiar to us - I think the lack of prop makes it even more scary. Great shot.

Okay, this is just great. IMO it doesn't need a prop like an ax, the effect is perfect as is. It's like a dream. Or a nightmare I should say. Denise

Now this is my kind of photo!! I have been trying to come up with something for this title myself (I keep wanting to do movies with a darker edge), but yours is amazing!! I loved the movie :) The composition breaks all the rules, but works sooo well. Great contrasts, and use of grain. Even without a weapon, it still holds a sinister feel. Wonderful!! angela :)

A fine picture. Yes a sinister prop would make it go the extra mile, but only to fit that title a bit better. Superb comp, lighting and grain. In fact the grain is certainly one of the better examples of digital noise I have seen. Worthy of much praise.

Thanks, It was ISO 100, I added the noise in Photoshop for the film grain look. For some reason I have never liked the digital noise instead of film grain, so I added later when needed :)

You both are right I though about a prop of some kind, but I shot this yesterday and work. Although the office was mostly empty there were a few people around and I don't know how they would have reacted with me running down the hallway with an axe :).

Now that I think about it an screaming down the hallway with a axe may scare a raise out of my boss (It may be worth it to get a L series lens).

Scott: You gots a way with B&W. I like the high contrast and grain. Normally, center compositions don't engage me that much, but here it emphasizes that the person is coming directly at me. Would have been a bit more ominous if your subject had a prop (e.g. axe, rifle, etc) and/or a posture that conveyed "evil". Riveting. --Joe Reilly

Cool shot!! This was ISO 100?? Whats the cause of the grain? Its not a bad thing, I like it. The high-key look is very ominous. I would suggest trying it with the person walking holding a large meat cleaver or chef's knife. I dont know if thats possible in this situation, but it would add to the evil/scary factor if you can.
